Autotech Recruit are on the search for Field-based Service Technicians to join our client, a leader in the bus and coach industry known for engineering precision and innovation. They are seeking experienced Field-based Service Technicians to join their dynamic service team in three key regions: Scotland, the UK Midlands, and the South of England. These roles are pivotal in providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for growing parc of buses and coaches, directly impacting their commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction.

Established in 2012, our client was established to offer a Sales and Aftersales presence for their sister company in the UK for the range of models on offer and a comprehensive range of used models. With a sales Team based all over the UK and Ireland, our client keeps its finger on the pulse of the Bus industry.
Their Aftersales network now provides support to thousands of vehicles all over the UK and Ireland.

As a PSV Field Service Technician your job role will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, including axle and driveline repairs.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections, routine maintenance, preventative measures, and repairs to ensure vehicle reliability and roadworthiness.
• Electrical fault finding including diagnosing CAN networks.
• Diagnosing faults on HGV/PSV air systems.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and stay abreast of emerging technologies within the industry.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Service Technician within the bus, coach, or heavy vehicle sector.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role, managing time and resources effectively.
• Full driving license, with the willingness to travel across the designated region
• Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Full clean driving licence. D (PSV) Licence preferable.

Basic Salary starting from £45,000 depending on experience
Paid overtime available
On Call payment
20 days holiday + bank holidays
