The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough MOT inspections on vehicles in accordance with legal requirements.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools to perform necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Identify any defects or issues during inspections and provide detailed reports.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Perform heavy lifting as required when handling vehicle components.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards and regulations related to vehicle testing.
• A willingness to assist with servicing, repairs and vehicle maintenance when not performing MOT’s

Requirements

• Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid MOT Tester licence is essential.
