Recruitment Agency of the Year, Workshop Power Awards 2017For the second consecutive year, Autotech Recruit has scooped the Recruitment Agency of the Year accolade at the Workshop Power Awards.

Now in its second year, the Workshop Power Awards was held at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, last night. Following on from the success of the inaugural year, the awards are judged by trade professionals, providing invaluable recognition within the automotive industry.

“To be recognised within our industry is a fantastic achievement,” comments Autotech Recruit’s Sales Director, Andrew Sly, who collected the award on behalf of our team. “As a recruitment agency solely dedicated to the automotive industry, winning this award is testament to the great reputation our team is building throughout the motor trade. We are committed to keeping workshops running across the UK, and work hard to place highly skilled candidates, into both temporary and permanent positions, on a daily basis, while providing them with essential, ongoing training.”

These achievements reinforce Autotech Recruit’s growing reputation as the automotive industry’s choice of recruitment agency for hiring skilled MOT Testers and Vehicle Technicians on a temporary, contract or permanent basis.

Established in 2010, with the clear aim of helping to close the industry’s skills gap, Autotech Recruit we adopted an ‘inch wide, mile deep’ approach and differentiated themselves from other recruitment agencies by forging strong links with industry leaders and key automotive organisations, ensuring they were abreast of current issues. Actively supporting the future growth of the UK’s automotive industry, Autotech Recruit subsequently launched two subdivisions, for apprenticeships and training, in a bid to support people coming into the industry.

James Baggott, CEO of the Baize Group and founder of Workshop Magazine, commented: “Every good garage needs good people – your reputation depends on having the right team working for you and representing you. It’s not just about quality of work, but attitude – particularly in customer-facing roles.

“Autotech Recruit was praised with finding the best people for the job exactly when our readers needed it, and being extremely helpful in every situation. It’s a business that specialises in temporary technical staff for the motor trade, which is vitally important to the garage industry, so it’s no wonder it’s retained this title for the second year in a row.”
