Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Technician to join our client's well-established team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, exceptional diagnostic skills, and a passion for ensuring vehicle performance and safety.
*Experience working with the Mercedes brand is required.
As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults, conducting thorough inspections, and ensuring vehicles meet the highest standards. This role requires keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
*Conveniently situated between Southampton, Fareham and Winchester*
Duties

  • Perform comprehensive inspections on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults, using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Identify and resolve defects or issues that may affect vehicle reliability and efficiency.
  • Complete accurate documentation of work carried out and communicate findings to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience as a Senior Technician in an automotive workshop.
  • Strong diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
  • Experience working with the Mercedes brand is required.
  • Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools in a workshop environment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and provide clear explanations of findings.
