Workshop Controller – Motorhome & Campervan Conversions

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

My client is a well established company specialising in the conversion and enhancement of motorhomes and campervans, with a focus on quality craftsmanship, modern technology, and customer satisfaction.
We’re now seeking a proactive and experienced Workshop Controller to lead and coordinate our busy workshop team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong background in auto electrics and vehicle conversions, who’s ready to step up into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations in the workshop, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
• Coordinate workloads for a team of auto electricians and fitters.
• Quality check work on Thatcham Cat 1 alarms, immobilisers, solar panel systems, and 12V/240V installations.
• Monitor parts ordering, job tracking, and workflow management.
• Act as the link between the workshop team and management.
• Ensure health & safety, compliance, and cleanliness are maintained throughout the workshop.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a senior auto electrician, technician, or workshop foreman.
• Strong understanding of campervan/motorhome conversions, including solar and alarm system installations.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
