Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Technician/MOT Tester to join our clients well established team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and a passion for ensuring vehicle safety and compliance. As a Senior Technician/MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on vehicles to ensure they meet legal standards alongside diagnosing and fixing any faults that arise. This role requires mainly knowledge on servicing, brakes, suspension and tyres with any further knowledge being a nice to have.
Duties

• Perform comprehensive inspections, including checking brakes, lights, tyres, and emissions.
• Identify and fix any defects or issues that may affect vehicle safety and performance.
• Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Complete accurate documentation of test results and communicate findings to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Technician is required.
• A valid MOT licence is a nice to have.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools in a workshop environment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and provide clear explanations of findings.
