Are you a skilled HGV Technician looking to accelerate your career? We want YOU to join our client’s experienced team.

Hours:
0800 – 1700 Monday to Friday, plus some Saturday mornings (0700 – 1300, paid at time and a half) and participating in the call-out rota one week in five.

About the Role
As an HGV Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring vehicles perform at their best. No two days are the same—expect to tackle a range of tasks, from diagnostics to repairs, all while delivering top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle issues using advanced tools and equipment.
• Assemble components based on schematics and technical drawings.
• Perform routine inspections to keep vehicles in peak condition.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Proven background as an HGV Technician
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Technical Skills: Confident with diagnostics, hand tools, and power tools. Good all-round knowledge of working on trailers, cars, and vans.
• Licences: HGV Class 1 Licence is required to take HGVs and trailers to the MOT Authorised Test Facility.
• Extras: An MOT test licence would be an advantage. IRTEC qualification is a nice to have.
• People Skills: Strong communicator, comfortable liaising with team members and customers alike.
• Diagnostic Knowledge: Solid understanding of modern vehicle diagnostics.
