Diagnostic Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester

Autotech Recruit are seeking to employ a skilled and experienced vehicle technician to join our client's friendly, fast-paced, busy garage. The team provides exceptional, high-quality repairs and maintenance on a large range of vehicles. The ideal candidate will be experienced in undertaking vehicle repairs, and utilising a range of vehicle repair tools, as well as having a strong understanding and knowledge of diagnostic equipment. MOT tester is desirable, but not essential.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general vehicle repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including vans.
• Diagnose vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic equipment. Identifying any faults and recommended repairs.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation, including job cards, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Liaise with members of staff, including other technicians and office staff, to ensure vehicles are ready for collection on time.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers where necessary regarding results of investigations or details of repairs.
• The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• A good team player – being able to work autonomously, and as part of a team. Supporting and mentoring junior staff where needed.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace. Ensuring the workshop is kept clean and tidy to ensure workplace safety.
• Must hold a full UK driving license.
• MOT tester is desirable but not essential.

 
Schedule
Monday – Friday and every other Saturday but this can be negotiated
Hours – Monday – Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm with 30-minute lunchbreak and Saturdays 8.30am – 1pm
