Did you know that effective January 2024, if you fail to complete your MOT annual training and assessment within the training year and later want to be reinstated as an MOT tester, you will need to fulfil certain requirements? These include completing a DBS check, undergoing a DVSA demonstration, and finishing the following year's annual training.

New Measures Introduced for MOT Testers Who Fail to Complete Their MOT Annual Training and Assessment

It is crucial to understand the significance of staying up-to-date with your MOT annual training and assessment. Failure to meet these requirements and encountering difficulties with the DBS check may impact your eligibility for reinstatement as an MOT tester. If you have any convictions that the DVSA don’t allow, then it could prevent you from testing again.
