The latest in the series of ‘Autotech Talks’ interviews features CEO Gavin White speaking to Ben Stockton, MD of Our Virtual Academy. While discussing the spike in online training during the lockdown period, the interview also served as a platform to launch Autotech Recruit’s latest initiative.

Underpinning Autotech Recruit’s commitment to its network of temporary vehicle technicians and MOT testers, the company’s training division (Autotech Training) has exclusively created a white-labelled platform on the Our Virtual Academy website featuring a suite of training chapters which will be accessible to contractors completely free of charge.

In a bid to invest in contractors, providing them with the relevant skills to ensure they are best placed to not only do the right job but ensure they are safeguarded, Autotech Recruit has initially invested in 250 licences to the platform, with a view to rolling out further training provisions over 2020.

Ben navigates through the syllabus within Autotech Training’s branded platform, featuring a decent sweep of Hybrid and EV training, which incorporates standards associated with Level 2 and Level 3 IMI Certification. And, with an additional assessment, Autotech Recruit contractors completing the online training could achieve a higher-level certificate.

“We scaled each corner of the country to find the best learning platform, and Our Virtual Academy delivers high-quality content,” Gavin White.

During the interview Ben, a self-confessed ‘car-related bobble hat’ who is feeding his automotive obsession through Our Virtual Academy, discussed the company’s history, and also the rising role online training plays in learning and development today. Particularly, the powerful ability to ‘re-learn on demand.’ Continually seeking out new training chapters and releasing new content every week and a half, Ben also discusses imminent plans for ADAS training.
