Plant Fitter - West Sussex - ATR17085

Are you looking for a new opportunity and would like to be part of a dynamic team based in the West Sussex area? Our client are looking to add a Plant Fitter to their team.

Responsibilities and duties:
Maintain the highest safety standards in fast moving environment with exposure to mobile plant and all-weather conditions
Excel in servicing and repair machinery from light vans and forklifts to loading shovels and large 360 excavators/material handling cranes
Show diligence in routine inspections of all types of plant/machinery
Use your judgement to diagnose and fault find from operator reports
Communicate clearly and liaise with your manager to update on job progress and completion times, maintaining accurate records
Consistently use and maintain workshop tooling in accordance with specifications and conditions
Any other duties as directed

Knowledge/experience/qualifications required for this role:
• Preferably but not essentially fully qualified plant fitter/mechanic - C&G Light or Heavy Motor Vehicle Repair/ NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle Repair
• Knowledge of mobile plant & ability to understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Hydraulics and Electrical Systems knowledge is a real benefit for plant such as excavators, loading shovels, forklifts and telehandlers
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work unsupervised as well as a small team
• Good verbal communication skills
• Flexible approach to working patterns
• Any welding and fabrication skills an advantage

Salary of up to £45, 000 (depending on experience)
40 Hours per week: 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
Overtime is available (if desired) paid at a Time and Half Rate. Sunday overtime is paid at a Double Rate
