Overview
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester/Technician to join our clients well established, independent garage. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and a passion for ensuring vehicle safety and compliance. As an MOT Tester/Technician you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on vehicles to ensure they meet legal standards alongside diagnosing and fixing any faults that arise. This role requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive inspections, including checking brakes, lights, tyres, and emissions.
• Identify and fix any defects or issues that may affect vehicle safety and performance.
• Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Complete accurate documentation of test results and communicate findings to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Mon-Fri 8-5pm. No weekend work

Experience required:

• A valid MOT licence is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools in a workshop environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and provide clear explanations of findings.
