Mechanic - Greater Manchester - ATR_30789

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family owned and operated garage established 35 years ago. The busy 20 ramp workshop based in Swinton is looking to add a Mechanic to their team. Specialising in Ford Fiat Pro, Citroen, Peugeot and Vauxhall with 28 employees they are seeking a Mechanic with an Automotive qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform high level vehicle assessments, identify issues, costs and timings for work to be completed
• Perform a mix of mechanical and customer facing duties, including discussing repairs with customers
• Repair or replace components as required
• Conduct regular maintenance on vehicles
• Assemble mechanical components according to manufacturer specifications
• Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
• Road test vehicles to test repair work
• Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity, good workshop organisation and workplace safety
• Work independently and as part of the team
• Be aware of the importance and implication of maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and work to ensure they are met at all times
Experience / Qualifications required for this role:
• Minimum of NVQ Level 3 Automotive Certificate or equivalent

• Salary of £28,000 - £35,000 (negotiable dependent on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 (We are flexible)
• One Saturday in 3, 08:00 - 12:00 overtime rate of 1.5 x pay
