Our client is an innovative business and automotive start-up, that is bringing to market more durable tyres for electric vehicles, and delivering sustainable mobility by improving the performance and environmental impact of tyres.

Driven by sustainability, our client is creating a balance in how we live and move today and tomorrow. This is central to how they act, design and make our products, educate our customers and how they build their business.

We are currently looing for a tyre specialist to lead quality assusrance for their London Hub, to establish commercial operations and grow sales.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in tyre servicing, able to create and maintain efficient systems of operation to support the business needs; the candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally across the business.

A typical day would be undertaken on-site, providing quality assurance as the lead tyre specialist and delegating work across a team of c.4-10 people.

Responsibilities
•The lead tyre technician responsible for Quality Assurance, and the ultimate sign-off authority for offloading vehicles back to customers and fleets.
•Overseeing vehicle diagnostics and repairs and fitting new tyres in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and the relevant vehicle repair standards
•Undertake inspection, development testing on vehicle tyres
•Support the London Hub Operartions Manager to establish, set-up, equip and hire a team to service tyre operations.
•The team lead for workshop operations, responsible for productivity and delivery of tyre fitting.
•Support the London Hub Operartions Manager to run operation systems, allocation of resources and maintain all key (starred) items of equipment.
•Excellent Customer Relationship Management: effective communication skills with stakeholders and suppliers to anticipate stock levels and fulfil customer requirements.
•Collaboration with all team members and ensure jobs are completed effectively within allocated time-box.

Key Competencies:
•Direct, previous hands-on experience in tyres and tyre servicing
•Technical understanding, with general automotive industry experience
•Previous fleet management experience or understanding of fleet operations.
•Sales & customer facing operations
•Comfortable working with & across multiple groups within the business

Qualifications
•3+ years of experience in a similar role
•Strong organisational and communication skills; strong ability to multitask and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Desirables
•Previous insight and understanding of wider electric vehicle landscape and OEMs
•Candidate needs to be based in London
