Autotech Group are growing, expanding into new spaces and pushing the boundaries of the automotive recruitment, training, education and connectivity sectors.
We have five brands currently within Autotech Group- Recruit, Academy, Training and the newly launched Connect and within Autotech Group, we are looking for an IT Assistant to play an important role in assisting the IT & Systems manager, and wider IT team, in maintaining the company's technology infrastructure to support its business operations and strategic goals.
As the IT Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and assistance in maintaining the IT infrastructure of our organisation. You will work closely with the IT & Systems Manager, and the wider IT team, to ensure that IT-related issues are addressed promptly and effectively, helping to minimise downtime and optimise productivity across the organisation. This role offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting various IT issues, supporting users, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our IT systems and processes.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Monitor and manage incoming IT support tickets via MSP.
•Prioritise and respond to support requests in a timely manner.
•Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
•Escalate complex issues to the IT & Systems Manager or appropriate teams as necessary.
•Install and upgrade computer components and software.
•Provide technical support to employees and ensure quick resolution of their IT-related issues.
•Conduct IT onboarding for new employees, including setting up accounts, emails, and software access with the support of our MSP.
•Assisting our MSP in providing 1st line support, where required, to our employees.
•Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
•Collaborate with the IT team to plan and execute projects within set timelines and budgets.
•Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
•Update and manage inventory records of hardware and software assets.
•Understand key functions of the business and how systems and software is used day-to-day.
•Organise and coordinate schedules of the IT team to make sure there is availability for meetings, that deadlines are met, and ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet the IT needs of the business.

Who we're looking for:

You will ideally have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an IT support or system administration role and experience working with a ticket-based support system.

Proficiency in Windows & macOS operating systems, basic knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and configurations and excellent organisational and time-management skills is also required.

Salary: £25,000 p/a
