This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family owned and operated garage established 35 years ago.
The busy 20 ramp workshop based in Swinton is looking to add an experienced Diagnostic Technician to their team. Specialising in Ford Fiat Pro, Citroen, Peugeot and Vauxhall with 28 employees they are seeking a Diagnostic Technician with an Automotive qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose required work to the highest standard
• Be comfortable using diagnostic equipment to diagnose complex faults, management lights and wiring faults
• Calculate expected time and cost of vehicle work
• Perform a mix of technical and customer facing duties, including discussing repairs with customers
• Repair or replace components as required
• Carry out all work completely and effectively whilst adhering to manufacturer's requirements
• Road test vehicles to test repair work
• Effectively record details of diagnosis, work completed, and components utilised in line with manufacturer standards
• Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity, good workshop organisation and workplace safety
• Work independently and as part of the team
• Be aware of the importance and implication of maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and work to ensure they are met at all times
Experience / Qualifications required for this role:
• Minimum of NVQ Level 3 Automotive Certificate or equivalent
Why should you consider applying for this job:
• Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 (negotiable dependent on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 (We are flexible)
• One Saturday in 3, 08:00 - 12:00 overtime rate of 1.5 x pay
• Overtime available at 1.5 x pay
