Continuing its support of young motor industry talent, Autotech Group is proud to announce its partnership with Storm Stacey, ahead of the 2023 Bennetts British Superbike season.
This is the third consecutive season that Autotech Group has sponsored Storm, who has enjoyed unprecedented success since his historic maiden campaign in 2020 when he became the youngest rider to score a point after finishing in 15th position at Silverstone.
Nineteen-year-old Storm, who will be entering his fifth season with GR Motosport when he hits the track at Silverstone this weekend for the first round, has become an integral part of Autotech Group since their first association back in 2021.
Originally sponsored by Autotech Academy – the division of Autotech Group created to help young students leaving college with an automotive qualification secure employment within the motor sector through a paid internship – Storm will be personally sponsored by Autotech Group in 2023, marking the close association he enjoys with the company.
A regular visitor to the company’s Milton Keynes headquarters, Storm also embarks upon college visits with Autotech Group CEO, Gavin White. While acting as an Ambassador for Autotech Academy, providing young automotive talent with a glimpse of the many different automotive career paths which are open to them, Storm also raises awareness of working within the fast pace of a top-tier championship.
The continued partnership with Storm Stacey compliments Autotech Group’s additional motorsport partnerships.
Earlier this year, the company announced its inaugural partnership with the NAPA Racing UK team ahead of the 2023 British Touring Car Championship season, and the continuation of its partnership with Ruben Hage Racing from the Ginetta GT Championship. As part of these two partnerships, Autotech Group is running an exclusive competition throughout the 2023 season, giving Level 3 automotive students the chance to experience a day behind the scenes of a motorsport team.
“Storm’s achievement at such a young age is testament to what the youth of today can accomplish through hard work, and the backing of the industry,” comments Gavin White, CEO of Autotech Group. “For two years, Storm has fitted perfectly with the ethos of our Autotech Academy brand, and he has subsequently become a key part of the Autotech Group team. As a result, we are delighted to continue our relationship with him and wish him every success ahead of the 2023 race season.”
“I am delighted that Autotech Group has continued to sponsor me,” comments Storm Stacey. “We work very well together, they are a great support, plus their logo on my helmet really stands out! I am looking forward to a great BSB season and through my work with Autotech Group I hope to show what is possible when you take and maximise the chances you are given in life!”
