Autotech Group are proud to announce the continued sponsorship of 17-year-old Ruben Hage as he embarks on his maiden season in the brand-new Ginetta GT Championship with Breakell Racing.
Autotech Group first partnered with Ruben last year through our Autotech Academy brand as he entered his first season in the highly competitive Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge. Hage enjoyed a wealth of success all season as he achieved consistent top 5 finishes and secured a podium on just his second race weekend of the season.
This year, Ruben will be making the step up into the brand-new Ginetta GT Championship with Breakell Racing at the helm of the newly released Ginetta G56 GT Pro car. The Ginetta GT Championship, which makes up part of the British GT race programme, is brand new for 2023 and will feature 8 race weekends across the UK.
Fans of the racing will be able to spot the Autotech Group logos on Ruben’s car all season, whilst Ruben will once again be sporting his eye-catching Autotech Academy branded race helmet.
Continuing with our aim to promote the wide range of career opportunities available within the motor industry, we will once again run our competition for automotive students to spend the day with Ruben and his team through their Autotech Academy brand.
Ruben Hage, said: “I’m really excited to be partnering with Autotech Group for another season. It will be a big step up this year as I embark on my maiden season in the Ginetta GT Championship, but I’m looking forward to building on the success from last year and embracing a new challenge!
“As a young person myself, it’s a pleasure to help promote Autotech Group’s initiative of promoting the vast number of careers available in the automotive industry."
“One of the highlights from last year was welcoming Autotech Academy’s competition winners down to the track to spend a day behind the scenes with myself and the team, and I’m so pleased that they’ll be continuing this initiative in 2023.”
The competition is open to any student who is currently studying for, or who has qualified in the last three years with, a Level 3 automotive qualification. To be in with a chance of winning this exclusive experience, they will be able to submit their entries from the 24th February onwards via the Autotech Academy website.
Gavin White, CEO of Autotech Group, said: “We were extremely impressed with Ruben’s achievements last year in his first year of senior circuit racing, and it’s a pleasure to be able to support Ruben in this next step of his career."
“Ruben continues to be a testament to what young people can achieve with dedication and hard work, and through the platform of motorsport we will continue to showcase the variety of automotive areas that young people can build a fulfilling career in.”
