Autotech Group’s continued success reflects its steadfast commitment to innovation, excellence, and solving the critical challenges facing the UK automotive and mobility sector. Since 2010, the company has built strong, lasting relationships with clients, contractors, and industry bodies, establishing itself as a trusted partner dedicated to shaping a skilled, future-ready workforce.

Autotech Group - Multi-Award Winning

That impact has been recognised with a series of prestigious awards over the years - both within the automotive industry and beyond - underscoring the Autotech Group’s forward-thinking approach to closing the sector’s skills gap.

Recognition for Excellence

Since its founding over 14 years ago – originally as Autotech Recruit - Autotech Group has been consistently recognised for its contributions to the automotive sector, receiving numerous awards for excellence in recruitment, workforce development, and innovation. However, the past 18 months have marked a particularly significant period, with a series of prestigious awards celebrating the group’s forward-thinking approach and the impact of its specialist brands:

Both Autotech Connect and Autotech Training won their first-ever awards in this period, milestones that highlight the growing influence and impact of Autotech Group’s specialist brands.

In March, Autotech Connect was named winner in the Innovation & Technology category at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards (MKBAA). This recognition reflects the brand’s pioneering work in creating a digital framework that bridges the gap between technology and tailored client solutions, addressing the aftermarket’s increasing complexity and persistent skills shortages.

Meanwhile, Autotech Training was recognised in the Partnership of the Year category at the Motor Transport Awards 2024. The accolade celebrated a groundbreaking collaboration between Autotech Training, global resource management company Veolia, and electric vehicle manufacturer Dennis Eagle. Together, the trio developed and deployed the UK’s first approved electric vehicle technician training scheme, marking a major step forward in workforce readiness for the future of mobility.

A Shared Mission to Tackle Industry Challenges

These achievements align with Autotech Group’s long-standing partnership with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and being named IMI Partner of the Year in March this year marked a pivotal moment, reinforcing the company’s shared mission with the IMI to bridge the automotive skills gap, elevate training standards, and support people at every stage of their careers. Further highlighting Autotech Group’s value as a forward-thinking industry partner, Autotech Connect was recently awarded the RealWear Fastest Growing Partner Award at the RealWear Partner Event. Since establishing a partnership with the assisted reality technology provider in 2023, Autotech Connect has successfully integrated RealWear headsets into the mobility sector. The technology has enabled remote diagnostics and real-time support, offering an innovative solution that directly addresses the sector’s skills shortage by providing immediate access to expert knowledge, no matter the location.

Built for the Future

Autotech Group is made up of four distinct brands, each playing a critical role in supporting industry development:

  • Autotech RecruitThe UK’s largest network of skilled temporary vehicle technicians, MOT testers, and parts and service professionals.
  • Autotech TrainingProviding businesses and individuals with cutting-edge, IMI accredited technical and non-technical training programmes that meet the demands of a rapidly evolving sector.
  • Autotech AcademyOffering structured, paid internships that support the transition of newly qualified automotive students into employment.
  • Autotech ConnectEffectively implement technology into aftermarket businesses through the assistance of remote expert, through Assisted Reality headsets, and digital workflows to improve efficiency and overcome skills gaps.

Leadership with Purpose

Autotech Group’s approach goes far beyond recruitment. Through consultative partnerships and innovative workforce strategies, the company and its brands help businesses respond to vehicle technician shortages, improve retention, upskill in an evolving industry, and stay competitive in a dynamic landscape.

Winning Best Small Recruitment Business at the Global Recruiter Awards 2024 was a strong endorsement of this model, with judges praising Autotech Group’s ability to deliver value-added services that strengthen the automotive industry’s reputation.

The standout achievement was being named IMI Partner of the Year - a milestone that symbolises Autotech Group’s unwavering commitment to supporting skills development and driving real, lasting change across the industry. This prestigious award from the IMI is regarded as the "jewel in the crown" for the company, cementing its role as a true leader in shaping the sector’s future.

Additionally, these awards have marked a breakthrough moment for Autotech Group’s specialist brands with both Autotech Connect and Autotech Training both securing their first-ever award, recognising their innovation, collaboration, and critical contributions to the evolving automotive landscape.

CEO Simon King reflects on the company’s recent successes: “These awards reaffirm our ability to innovate, adapt, and collaborate. Every recognition we receive is a testament to the passion and dedication of our team. As the automotive industry evolves, we will continue to provide the workforce solutions it needs to thrive, both today and in the future."
