Workshop Technician

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Technician (Mechanic) to join a busy Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) facility based in Tallaght.

Job Details:

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repair work on vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults and assess mechanical issues accurately.
  • Prepare parts lists and labour estimates for non-standard repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed using job cards/DMS/eVHC systems.
  • Ensure workshop cleanliness, security, and compliance with Health & Safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels for tools and spare parts, and manage ordering requirements.
  • Respond to queries and liaise with relevant team members.
  • Carry out roadside repairs or vehicle recovery when required.
  • Support the Service Manager with additional tasks as needed.


Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Motor Mechanic (QQI Level 6 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a motor mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Ability to produce clear written reports.

Required Certifications
:

  • Full B driving licence
  • Fully qualified mechanic certification
