Workshop Manager / MOT Tester
Salary: £32,000 – £45,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays
Bonus: Christmas bonus based on company profit

My client is seeking a hands-on, proactive Workshop Manager/MOT Tester to oversee day-to-day workshop operations, lead a skilled team of technicians, and ensure a high standard of service is consistently delivered.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the workshop team, workload, and workflow
- Conducting MOT tests (Class 4) to DVSA standards
- Diagnosing, inspecting, and overseeing repair work
- Ensuring the workshop runs efficiently and maintains excellent customer service levels
- Maintaining compliance, safety standards, and quality control
- Supporting and developing the technician team
What We’re Looking For
- Must hold a valid MOT Tester licence
- Proven experience managing or supervising an automotive workshop team
- Strong technical knowledge and practical diagnostic skills
- Good leadership, communication, and organisational ability
- A proactive, professional individual who takes pride in their work
