About the Role
Autotech Recruit is representing a reputable automotive employer in London who is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join their busy aftersales operation. As the Workshop Controller, you will be the central point of communication between technicians, service advisors, and management—ensuring the workshop delivers high-quality work on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate daily workload and manage technician productivity
- Ensure all repair and service work meets manufacturer and company standards
- Oversee workshop performance and maintain efficiency targets
- Support technicians with technical queries
- Maintain strict compliance around health, safety, and workshop procedures
- Liaise closely with Service Advisors to support smooth customer communication
- Drive continuous improvement across workshop operations
About You
- Previous Workshop Controller experience (or Senior Technician/Service Advisor ready to step up)
- Strong technical background and understanding of workshop processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail with a “right‑first‑time” mindset
- Full UK driving licence
