Are you an experienced Workshop Controller looking for your next career step? Autotech Recruit is working with a well‑established automotive business in Guildford, and we are seeking a driven, organised, and confident individual to lead a busy workshop team.
The Role
As the Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the workshop, ensuring productivity targets are met and customer satisfaction remains at the highest standard. You’ll oversee a team of technicians, manage workflow, allocate jobs, and support the service operation daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating the workshop team
- Allocating work to technicians in line with skillset and priority
- Ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and on time
- Monitoring productivity and maintaining high-quality standards
- Liaising with service advisors and management to support workshop performance
- Maintaining health and safety compliance within the workshop
About You
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Supervisor, Lead Technician, or similar
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy diary
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to motivate and support a team
- A proactive and solution‑focused mindset
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
