Lead Workshop Controller Established Main Dealer | Full-Time Permanent Position Competitive Salary + Bonus Package. Immediate Requirement

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Workshop Controller to join a busy and established main dealer operation. This role is ideally suited to a proven Workshop Controller looking for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a high-volume workshop environment.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a 16-bay workshop, leading an established team of technicians while driving improvements in productivity, efficiency, and overall workshop performance.

The Role

As Lead Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of workshop operations, ensuring maximum utilisation of technicians, effective workload distribution, and outstanding customer service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating daily workshop activity across a 16-bay facility
  • Allocating jobs and controlling workshop loading to maximise productivity
  • Driving workshop efficiency, labour sales, and profitability
  • Monitoring and improving key performance indicators
  • Supporting, motivating, and developing the workshop team
  • Ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales and manufacturer standards
  • Working closely with service advisors and management to optimise workshop output
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational performance
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and overall site performance

About You

To be considered, you will ideally possess:

  • Previous Workshop Controller experience within a franchised dealership environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities
  • A proven track record of managing workshop productivity and performance
  • Strong commercial awareness and focus on delivering results
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A hands-on approach and the drive to improve an underperforming operation

Please note: Candidates from a fast-fit background will not be considered for this position.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Alternate Saturdays: 8:30am – 12:30pm
