Vehicle Technician
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm (1-hour lunch break)
Our client, a well‑established, reputable independent garage based in Manchester, is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their friendly and professional workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem‑solving, and wants to work in a supportive, well‑equipped environment with a steady workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately
- Complete MOT preparation and repairs (MOT licence desirable but not essential)
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and workshop control
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and follow health & safety procedures
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
