Vehicle Technician – Independent Garage
We’re working with a well-established independent garage looking to add an experienced Vehicle Technician to their close-knit team following a recent departure. This is a great opportunity to join a stable workshop where technicians are genuinely valued and tend to stay long-term, with the current team all having 4–5+ years’ tenure.
The Role
Working as part of a team of 4 technicians, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of mechanical work including:
- Cambelts
- Clutches
- General servicing & repairs
- Mild engine repairs
- Diagnostics (desirable but not essential)
They’re looking for a true all-rounder who’s confident working across varied jobs rather than being pigeonholed.

Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Able to complete a variety of mechanical jobs independently
- Background from an independent garage preferred
- MOT Licence desirable — support available to gain this if needed
Qualifications are not essential — experience and attitude matter more here.
What’s on Offer
- £35,000 – £45,000 per annum depending on experience
- Loyalty bonus (~£1,500 paid in December)
