Vehicle Technician – Edinburgh Airport
Location: Edinburgh Airport
Job Type: Full‑time (4‑week rotating shift pattern)
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at Edinburgh Airport. You’ll work on specialist vehicles such as tugs, baggage tractors and other essential airport equipment, ensuring everything operates safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Service, repair and diagnose airport GSE and fleet vehicles
- Carry out inspections, brake tests and emissions checks
- Accurately record work using a tablet‑based job card system
- Identify faults, required parts and report VOR issues
- Handle tools and components safely and correctly
- Follow all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical background (vehicles or plant)
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification (essential)
- Good diagnostic and problem‑solving ability
- Customer‑focused with strong communication skills
Experience
- Vehicle or plant maintenance
- Experience in operational or customer‑focused engineering environments (preferred)

Shift Pattern 4‑week rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Mon–Fri
- Week 2: Mon–Fri
- Week 3: Mon–Sun
- Week 4: Wed–Fri
Shifts:
- 06:00–14:30
- 08:00–16:30
Average: 5 days per week.
