Vehicle Technician (Electrical & Mechanical Experience Required)
Do you have a passion for automotive engineering and enjoy working in a dynamic workshop environment? A leading UK vehicle importer is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician with strong auto electrical experience to join their growing team.
You’ll be working on a wide range of exotic and specialist imported vehicles, carrying out preparation work for IVA and MOT compliance—including electrical reconfigurations, mechanical adjustments, and lighting/speedometer conversions.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare vehicles for IVA and MOT testing
- Carry out electrical modifications, including lighting conversions and wiring adjustments
- Reconfigure electrical systems on imported US vehicles
- Perform mechanical preparation and repairs to ensure full UK compliance
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail and high workmanship standards
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an automotive workshop
- Strong auto-electrical and mechanical skills
- MOT Tester licence (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and IT literacy
- Pride in producing high-quality, accurate work
