A well-established, family-owned automotive business is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join its busy service department. This opportunity would suit a versatile technician who enjoys working on a variety of vehicles, solving technical issues, and delivering high-quality workmanship.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles while ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards. Working within a supportive workshop environment, the Vehicle Technician will play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
- Diagnosing faults efficiently and accurately.
- Completing work to a high standard with strong attention to detail.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain excellent workshop standards.
- Delivering high-quality, customer-focused workmanship at all times.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and manufacturer standards where applicable.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar technician role.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- A confident and efficient approach to servicing and repair work.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Desirable
- MOT Tester qualification or a desire to gain the qualification.
- Electric Vehicle (EV) qualification or willingness to undertake EV training.
- Experience working across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
