Van Technician – Truro Join a Growing Commercial Vehicle Workshop
Location: Truro
Salary: Competitive basic salary with uncapped bonus potential
Hours: Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis, paid at enhanced overtime rates
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Van Technician to join a busy and expanding commercial vehicle workshop in Truro.
Due to continued growth and investment in the aftersales operation, our client is expanding its workshop capacity and is seeking ambitious technicians who are looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career within a successful automotive retail group.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on light commercial vehicles while ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose vehicle faults efficiently and accurately
- Complete vehicle inspections and repair documentation
- Utilise workshop systems and diagnostic equipment effectively
- Identify and report additional work requirements where necessary
- Conduct final quality and safety inspections before vehicle handover
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Support colleagues in maintaining a productive and customer-focused workshop environment
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous motor trade experience as a Vehicle or Van Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Commercial vehicle experience beneficial but not essential
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong team player
- Full UK driving licence
