Automotive Service Manager – Dublin

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Service Manager to join our client, Ireland’s premier motoring organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in motor trade and aftersales service operations, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring outstanding customer service and smooth operation of the service department. Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the service team to achieve high performance and exceptional service delivery.
  • Oversee daily service operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring a customer-focused approach that meets and exceeds service expectations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor service finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and maximizing profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the service department.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Service Manager is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the motor trade and aftersales service operations.
  • Commitment to delivering the highest service standards with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Full driving license is essential.
  • A commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive service management or related fields are a plus.


Day-to-Day

  • Leading team meetings and providing guidance and support to staff.
  • Reviewing and managing service schedules and workloads.
  • Engaging directly with customers to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Monitoring performance metrics and reporting to senior management.
  • Coordinating with parts, sales, and other departments to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and development initiatives.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Ensuring the service area maintains a safe, organized, and professional environment.
