An established and growing independent automotive specialist is seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join its highly regarded workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys fault finding, diagnostics, and carrying out repairs to a high standard in a professional, quality-focused environment. Experience with European vehicle brands would be advantageous, although technicians from main dealer or independent backgrounds will also be considered.
The Role
You will be responsible for a varied workload including:
- Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
- Mechanical repairs and component replacement
- Advanced diagnostics and fault finding
- Electrical and mechanical repair work
- Vehicle health checks and inspections
- Identifying additional repair requirements
- Quality control and final checks
- Supporting junior technicians when required
- Liaising with the service team regarding repairs and recommendations
Candidate Requirements
To be considered, you should have:
- NVQ/IMI Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong mechanical repair and servicing experience
- Proven diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Several years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician
- A methodical approach to vehicle diagnosis
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 basic salary
- Performance-related bonus (OTE circa £45,000)
