Job description

Automotive Senior Service Manager

Location: Tallaght, Dublin
Salary: up to €90,000 depending on experience + up to 5% bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced automotive aftersales leader looking for the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business?

Our client is a well-established organisation with a trusted reputation for keeping motorists moving through industry-leading roadside, repair and mobility services. As they continue to invest in and expand their Service, Maintenance and Repair network, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Senior Service Manager to lead one of their key sites through an exciting period of growth.

Reporting to the Technical Service Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day workshop operation, ensuring exceptional customer service while driving productivity, profitability and team performance. The site is currently on an exciting growth journey and, at full capacity, will operate with a team of approximately 20 technicians. As such, we’re looking for a proven people leader who has experience managing larger teams and who can successfully balance operational performance with commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the workshop and service department.
  • Build, develop and lead a team of up to 20 technicians as the site grows.
  • Drive workshop productivity, efficiency and profitability.
  • Monitor and deliver against departmental KPIs and performance targets.
  • Maximise labour sales, workshop utilisation and operational performance.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage customer queries and escalations professionally and effectively.
  • Analyse operational data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, training and ongoing development of technical staff.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety, quality and company standards.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in automotive aftersales management and be excited by the opportunity to help grow and shape a developing operation.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Current or previous experience as a Senior Service Manager, Service Manager, Aftersales Manager or Workshop Manager within the automotive sector.
  • Experience leading and motivating sizeable workshop teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue, profitability and operational performance.
  • Proven track record of delivering results against KPIs and business objectives.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of workshop operations and aftersales processes.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Full driving licence.

Benefits:

  • Company vehicle
  • Bonus up to 5% annually
  • 23 days annual leave + 2 company days
  • Pension (increasing to 5% employer contribution post-probation)
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Staff discounts
  • Company events
  • On-site parking
  • Sick pay

This is a unique opportunity to join a nationally recognised organisation at a key stage of its growth. You’ll have the autonomy to influence the direction of the site, build a high-performing team and establish yourself as a key leader within the business.
If you’re a commercially driven automotive leader who enjoys building teams, driving performance and being part of a growth story, we’d love to hear from you.
