Permanent Recruitment Consultant
Location: Milton Keynes (HQ) – Fully office based
Salary: £36,400 + Monthly Commission
Hours: 35 per week, Monday- Friday (9:00- 17:00), with occasional flexibility for candidate availability
Autotech Recruit, part of Autotech Group, is looking for an engaging and motivated Permanent Recruitment Consultant to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle for a portfolio of clients, build strong long‑term partnerships, and play a key role in sourcing high‑quality talent within the automotive industry.
What you’ll be doing
Talent Attraction & Sourcing
- Develop and deliver targeted recruitment strategies to attract high‑quality candidates.
- Use a variety of sourcing channels including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
Candidate Screening & Selection
- Review CVs and shortlist suitable candidates.
- Conduct initial calls and interviews to assess experience, skills, and fit.
- Coordinate interviews and logistics with hiring managers and clients.
- Lead the offer process, including salary discussions and formal offer communication.
Hiring Manager & Client Partnership
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with hiring managers.
- Provide regular updates on vacancies, progress, and candidate pipelines.
- Offer insights and recommendations to support effective hiring decisions.
Candidate Experience & Compliance
- Ensure a positive, professional, and inclusive experience for every candidate.
- Complete pre‑employment checks and maintain compliance with internal standards and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold best practices throughout the recruitment process.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics (e.g., time‑to‑fill, cost‑per‑hire, candidate quality).
- Suggest and implement improvements to recruitment processes and sourcing strategies.
- Stay up to date with recruitment trends and best practices.
Branding & Representation
- Contribute to employer branding and candidate engagement initiatives.
- Represent Autotech Recruit at job fairs, events, and networking opportunities.
What you’ll bring
- 3–5 years’ recruitment experience, ideally in a corporate or retained environment.
- Proven success in permanent or retainer‑based recruitment roles.
- Strong sourcing skills and experience using various recruitment tools and ATS software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Confidence in handling challenging recruitment situations with professionalism.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to ethical recruitment practices.
- Data‑driven mindset with the ability to analyse recruitment metrics and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
