£35,000 – £40,000 Basic + Bonus
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a well-established independent automotive business in the Swindon area. With multiple sites across the region, you’ll be based at one location as part of a professional and supportive workshop team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technician who enjoys working on a wide range of vehicles and is looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with a strong focus on quality workmanship and customer service.

The Role
Working within a team of approximately 5-8 technicians, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work to a high standard
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing MOT tests in line with DVSA guidelines (where qualified)
- Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying additional work required
- Maintaining accurate job documentation and workshop records
- Working safely and efficiently to meet workshop deadlines
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service and workshop performance
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- A valid MOT Tester licence (preferred but not essential)
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship
