MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician

A well-established independent automotive workshop is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join its friendly and highly skilled team. Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 – £45,000 basic salary (dependent on experience and working pattern)

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT testing on Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work on cars and light commercial vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
- Complete vehicle inspections and health checks
- Undertake diagnostic and more advanced technical repairs when required
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
- Work closely with colleagues across the workshop and front-of-house team
- Maintain accurate job records and documentation
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Flexible working arrangements may be considered, including Monday-to-Friday-only schedules for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Current MOT Tester qualification is essential
- Relevant vehicle technician qualifications advantageous
- Proven experience servicing and repairing cars and light commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
