The Role
As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting MOT inspections to DVSA standards while ensuring a smooth customer experience and supporting workshop efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations
- Accurately recording test results and completing all required documentation
- Identifying defects and advisory items and reporting findings clearly
- Maintaining MOT testing equipment and designated testing areas
- Keeping MOT training and industry knowledge up to date
- Supporting efficient day-to-day workshop operations
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company procedures
- Working closely with the aftersales team to deliver excellent customer service
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A current and valid MOT Tester licence
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience carrying out MOT testing
- Strong understanding of DVSA standards and testing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- A professional, reliable approach to work
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience with manufacturer-franchised environments desirable but not essential
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Saturday rota requirement
