The Roles
An established automotive workshop is looking to recruit both an MOT Tester and a Senior Vehicle Technician. The MOT Tester position will focus primarily on MOT testing, while the Senior Technician role will involve a varied workload including servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and more complex technical work.
MOT Tester Responsibilities
- Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance
- Work efficiently in a busy environment with up to 8-10 tests per day during peak periods
- Identify defects and advise on required repairs
Senior Technician Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Conduct advanced diagnostics and fault-finding
- Complete complex mechanical and electrical repairs
- Support workshop productivity and quality standards
Requirements
- Valid MOT Tester licence for the Tester role
- Previous experience in a vehicle technician position
- Strong diagnostic skills for the Senior Technician position
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work effectively as part of a workshop team
