About the Role
Our client, a leading automotive service and repair business, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester to join their established workshop in Caversham.

You will play a vital role in ensuring vehicles meet DVSA safety standards, carrying out MOT inspections, identifying faults, and providing customers with clear and professional advice on their vehicle’s condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with current DVSA regulations and standards
- Accurately identify and report vehicle defects, failures, and advisories
- Communicate MOT outcomes and repair recommendations professionally
- Maintain accurate testing records and workshop documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the MOT process
- Support the wider workshop team as required
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A valid MOT Testing Licence
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous experience working as an MOT Tester
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting customers and colleagues
