About the Role
Our client, a leading automotive service and repair business, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy workshop in Abingdon.

Working within a professional and supportive team, you’ll be responsible for carrying out MOT inspections, accurately identifying vehicle defects, and advising customers on any necessary repairs or maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests in line with current DVSA regulations and standards
- Identify and accurately report vehicle defects, advisories, and failures
- Communicate MOT results and recommendations clearly to customers
- Maintain accurate testing records and workshop documentation
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times
- Support workshop operations and assist colleagues when required
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A valid MOT Testing Licence
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous experience working as an MOT Tester
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to vehicle safety
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- A positive, flexible, and professional attitude
