Mobile Van Technician – Exeter Mobile Service Technician | South West Region
Location: Exeter (covering the South West)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Van Technician to join a growing commercial vehicle aftersales operation based in Exeter.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with customers across the South West, carrying out on-site servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs. Working from a fully equipped mobile workshop vehicle, you will provide a convenient and professional service while maintaining the highest levels of technical workmanship and customer care.
This position would suit a qualified Van Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Mobile Technician, or HGV Technician seeking greater autonomy and a varied working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
- Complete detailed vehicle health checks and inspections
- Utilise manufacturer diagnostic equipment and workshop systems
- Conduct final quality and safety inspections
- Complete all required service and repair documentation accurately
- Deliver outstanding levels of customer service whilst working independently
- Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer and company standards
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the business positively whilst on customer sites
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Van Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or similar
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on light commercial vehicles highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Full UK driving licence
