Key Responsibilities
- Carry out complex vehicle diagnostics, maintenance and repair work to manufacturer standards
- Analyse and resolve advanced mechanical, electrical and technical faults
- Complete detailed vehicle inspections and identify repair requirements
- Provide technical expertise and support to workshop colleagues
- Assist with mentoring and developing other technicians within the team
- Liaise with service advisors and workshop controllers to ensure efficient workflow
- Deliver high standards of workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction
- Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with manufacturer requirements
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Master Technician, Senior Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician
- Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and workshop procedures
- Proven ability to achieve efficiency and productivity targets
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- MOT Tester licence advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence required
