The Role
Are you an experienced Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or Master Technician looking to take the next step in your career?
This position offers the opportunity to transition from the workshop into a professional training environment, using your technical expertise to develop and inspire others. Full trainer development and accreditation support will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong technical skills who are passionate about sharing knowledge.
As a Light Commercial Vehicle Trainer, you will deliver engaging technical training programmes that equip technicians with the skills and confidence to work on the latest vehicle technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a blend of practical workshop-based training, classroom learning, virtual training sessions, and live broadcasts.
- Facilitate technical learning programmes for technicians at varying levels of experience.
- Develop, review, and update training materials, including content relating to new vehicle technologies and model launches.
- Attend manufacturer and industry training events, product launches, and accreditation programmes.
- Support learners in developing technical capabilities and achieving professional standards.
- Encourage a positive learning environment that motivates and inspires learners.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by management.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Strong technical background within the automotive industry.
- Experience diagnosing, repairing, or providing technical support for Light Commercial Vehicles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others.
- Ability to confidently engage and influence groups with varying levels of experience.
- Self-motivated and highly organised with strong time management skills.
- Interest in emerging automotive technologies and continuous professional development.
- Ability to commute to Milton Keynes on a daily basis.
Desirable
- Previous training, coaching, mentoring, or instructional experience.
- Electric Vehicle (EV) and High Voltage qualifications.
- Experience working within a manufacturer or franchised dealer environment.
- Recognised automotive technical qualifications.
