GSE / HGV Technician – Heathrow Airport
Location: London Heathrow Airport
Salary: Competitive
Hours:
- 4 on / 4 off – Days (6am–6pm)
OR - Monday to Friday – 9am–5:30pm
- Job Type: Permanent
Autotech Recruit is seeking an experienced GSE/HGV Technician to join a reputable operation at London Heathrow Airport. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong HGV experience looking for stability, variety, and long‑term career prospects in a fast‑paced aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and HGV vehicles
- Conducting diagnostics and fault‑finding to a high standard
- Carrying out scheduled inspections and ensuring all work meets safety and compliance requirements
- Working on a wide range of airport equipment, offering plenty of variety
- Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring efficient turnaround of all tasks
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (minimum)
- MUST have proven HGV repair and maintenance experience
- Experience with GSE equipment is beneficial but not essential
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic capability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
