Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 OTE + Bonus

The Opportunity
An established automotive service and repair business is looking for an experienced MOT Tester to join its team as a Floating MOT Tester, supporting multiple centres across Reading and the surrounding area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified MOT Tester who enjoys variety in their working week and takes pride in delivering high-quality customer service alongside accurate and compliant MOT testing.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MOT testing in line with current DVSA standards and regulations.
- Support multiple workshop locations across the local region.
- Clearly communicate test results and vehicle condition findings to customers.
- Advise on any additional work required and explain MOT failures where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all documentation correctly.
- Work closely with workshop teams to ensure customers receive a professional service.
- Contribute to the smooth running of centres by assisting colleagues when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Current and valid MOT Tester licence.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience carrying out MOT testing in a busy workshop environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
- Flexible approach to travelling between sites.
- Team player with a positive, hands-on attitude.
