An established and highly successful automotive retail group is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join its busy aftersales team in Southampton.

The Role
As a Diagnostic Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, delivering an exceptional experience for customers while maximising workshop efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer standards
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults
- Conducting advanced fault-finding and producing detailed diagnostic reports
- Completing MOT-related repairs and general maintenance work
- Servicing and repairing vehicle air conditioning systems
- Carrying out welding repairs where required
- Ordering parts and obtaining repair estimates to support efficient vehicle turnaround
- Liaising with customers when necessary to provide updates on vehicle progress
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Working in accordance with manufacturer and company processes
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent automotive qualification
- Previous experience working within a franchised dealership environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working with vehicle electrical systems
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A team-focused approach with a commitment to high customer service standards
- The ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
