Diagnostic Technician
Location: Poole
Salary: £37,000 – £52,000 OTE + Uncapped Bonus

The Role
As a Diagnostic Technician, you will play a key role in identifying and resolving complex vehicle faults while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle faults
- Performing repairs, including MOT-related work where required
- Conducting air conditioning servicing and repairs
- Producing accurate diagnostic reports and repair recommendations
- Ordering required parts and assisting with repair estimates
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
- Liaising with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle progress where appropriate
- Working efficiently to maximise workshop productivity and utilisation
About You
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent automotive qualification
- Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician within a dealership or professional workshop environment
- Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- A positive team-oriented approach
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- A full UK driving licence
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 4-day working week pattern with one weekday off (10-hour shifts)
- Saturday mornings on a 1-in-4 rota basis
