Autotech Recruit are on the lookout for experienced MOT Testers to join our network of contractors across your region.
We support a huge range of automotive clients — from main dealerships and car supermarkets to fast-fit centres, independents, councils, and more. Whether you prefer long-term stability or short-term flexibility, we’ve got opportunities that fit around your schedule.
As a contractor, you choose how often you work, enjoy higher earnings than most permanent roles, gain experience in a variety of environments, and avoid the usual workshop politics.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations, ensuring accurate and clear documentation.
- Complete associated maintenance tasks and basic diagnostic checks.
- Maintain high safety standards and a clean, organised workspace.
What You’ll Need
- A valid MOT Tester Licence (minimum 6 months testing experience & 100+ tests completed).
- Full UK Driving Licence and your own vehicle.
- Willingness to travel — generally, the further you travel, the higher the pay and the more opportunities.
