How It Works
- Complete 3 hours of training before taking the assessment. You can spread this out or do it in one go.
- The assessment is online, consists of 30 multiple-choice questions, and you have 1 hour to complete it.
- You need a pass mark of 80%, but don’t worry – you can retake it if needed.
- Autotech Training will upload your results to MTS, but always check your profile to confirm your certificate is showing.

The DVSA recommends a “little and often” approach to training. Breaking it into manageable sessions helps avoid unnecessary pressure as the deadline approaches. Remember, if your training and assessment aren’t completed and logged by 31 March, you’ll lose your ability to test.
