Autotech Group marked a significant milestone in its ongoing effort to support Brain Tumour Research when the charity’s director of income generation, Russell Marriott, visited the company’s head office to receive a cheque for over £17,000, following the team’s remarkable success completing the Three Peaks Challenge.
In June, a dedicated 16-member team of walkers from Autotech Group, aptly named the ‘Autotrekers,’ undertook their most ambitious fundraising endeavour to date conquering three of the UK’s highest mountains. In a full team effort, the entire company was mobilised to support the team, from contributing food and supplies to driving support vehicles as the Autotrekers moved from peak to peak.
This collective endeavour is driven by a heartfelt cause – the brain tumour diagnosis of Autotech Group’s founder, Gavin White, last summer.
Almost a year after Gavin’s diagnosis, this latest fundraising achievement marks the pinnacle of a year-long collaborative effort by the Autotech Group team to support Brain Tumour Research. Since September 2023, this has resulted in almost £28,500 being raised for the charity.
Due to leverage funding, this amount has been significantly amplified, resulting in nearly £90,000 for the charity—the equivalent of more than 25 days of research!
Handing over the cheque to Russell last week, Autotech Group CEO, Simon King, pledged the company’s ongoing support for the charity: “We are immensely proud of our team for their dedication and hard work in supporting Brain Tumour Research, they have truly embodied our company value of togetherness.
This cause is very close to our hearts, and we are committed to continuing our efforts to make a difference. The overwhelming support and generosity from everyone involved have been truly inspiring.”
